Baked Tofu

I made up this recipe in the eighties. It was nice to have for brunch. Very easy to make.

  • 1 block tofu (one package)
  • 1 tablespoon tamari
  • 1 slice Jarlsberg cheese
  • 1/16 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/16 tablespoon Mirin Rice Cooking Wine
  • 1/16 teaspoon oregano for garnish

Recipe

Preheat oven to broil
Slice tofu into thin slices.
Put tofu into casserole dish.
Sprinkle tofu with tamari or soy sauce.
Sprinkle tofu with sesame oil and marin
With fingers marinate into tofu.
Put slices of cheese on top of all tofu.
Sprinkle oregano on top of cheese.
Broil until cheese is golden brown.
