Shrimp on skewers

Ingredients

Sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup tamari
  • 1 tablespoon finely diced fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
Skewers
  • 10 whole Cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup Green peppers
  • 8 large Shrimp

Instructions

In mixing bowl add water, peanut butter, molasses, tamari, fresh ginger, and rice vinegar and sesame oil.
Add shrimp and vegetables to marinate mixture. Marinate for at least one hour.
Put shrimp and vegetables on skewers and broil until shrimp is golden brown. When shrimp is in broiler baste every few minutes with sauce.

Comments

I’ve been making this dish for around 20 years. It’s great for a BBQ at the beach. I love to make it in the winter when it’s cold. It reminds me of the beach.
