Cabbage subji with coconut

Ingredients
- 1/2 head cabbage diced
- 1/4 tablespoon ghee
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 tablespoon chana dal
- 1 curry leaf
- 1 whole diced red chili pepper
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 2 oz coconut flakes
- 1 teaspoon diced ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon Asafotida(hing)
- salt to taste
Instructions
Heat up skillet. Add ghee. When ghee is hot add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds and the chana dal. When mustard seeds pop add the ginger, turmeric, hing, curry leaf, and the red chili pepper. Add a dash of water and then add the diced cabbage. Cook on medium heat for around 5 minutes. Add salt and coconut flakes.

This is another great Indian dish I got from my friend Mohan. His wife made this for lunch and I had a taste. It is a great way to serve cabbage.
