Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 4 breast, bone removed chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoons kecap manis
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 16 oz penne

Sauce

  • 1 medium diced onion
  • 1 medium diced zucchini
  • 1 large canned tomatoes
  • 1 cup cream
  • 4 fl oz Alcoholic beverage, distilled, vodka, 80 proof
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • dash of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil
 

Instructions

Heat up water in pan. Bring to a boil. Add the penne. Cook for around 9 to 11 minutes until dente.
  In separate pan sauté the onions in the olive oil until done. Add the zucchini and sauté until done. Add the tomatoes, cream and vodka and simmer on low for 15 minutes. Add the salt and pepper.
 While sauce is simmering heat up pan. Cut up the chicken breast unto bite pieces. When pan is hot add the olive oil and kecap manis sauce. When the oil is hot add the chicken and sauté until the chicken is done.
 

Comments

Nothing beats a tomato based cream sauce with vodka. The chicken is sautéed in olive oil and kecap manis an Indonesian sauce which gives a unique flavor to this dish.
