Ingredients

    1 cup butter
    4 tablespoons sugar 
    2 tablespoons vanilla
    2 cups Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, enriched, unbleached
    2 cups pecans  ground 
    1/4 cup powdered sugar 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 300
Beat till soft the butter. Add sugar and blend until creamy. Add vanilla. . Measures then grind 2 cups pecans.
Sift then measure 2 cups flour.
Stir pecans and flour into butter mixture.
Roll into balls.
Grease sheet. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes.
The cookies are done when they are brown.
Sift confectioners’ sugar on top.

When I lived in Mexico City I learned how to make these delicious cookies. I ’ve been making these for 40 years. This recipe was originally from the Joy of cooking.
