Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup dried lentils
  • dash of salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

In soup pot sauté the onion and garlic. Add 5 cups of water and lentils. Add the spices. Cook for around 25 minutes. Add the spinach and cook for 20 more minutes. Stir and make sure spinach and lentils are mixed together.

This recipe is an adaption from "Good Morning America’s" Diane Sawyer. It ’s simple and easy to make. I love it.
