Ingredients

  • 8 oz coconut flakes
  • 1/2 whole jalapeno pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 tablespoon  roasted chana dal
  •  salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoons mustard seeds 
  • 3 leaves curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

Add coconut flakes, jalapeno, ginger, chana dahl, salt and water to blender.
Mix well. Add coconut oil to skillet. When oil is hot add the curry leaves and mustard seeds. When seeds pop take off burner and add to coconut mixture.

Comments

This is a chutney similar to what my friend Mohan’s wife made for him.
