Ingredients
- 16 oz mussels
- 1/2 medium onion
- 1 medium tomato
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 whole jalapeno pepper
- 1 whole fresh lemon juice
- 10 sprigs fresh cilantro
- dash of salt
- 1 bottle dos equis beer
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
Heat up pan. Add butter. When butter is melted add the garlic, jalapeno, tomato and garlic. Sauté for a few minutes. Add the beer and mussels. Bring to a boil. When broth boils turn down heat and simmer for around 7 to 10 minutes. When the shells open in the mussels they are done.
Comments
This is a great way to cook your mussel’s Mexican style. The broth is dos equis beer which gives a great flavor to the dish.
