Ingredients
- 2 whitefish fillet
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/2 medium onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic diced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1/2 whole jalapeno pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon coriander seed
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cardamom
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon fennel seed
- 1 dash salt
- 1/2 whole fresh lemon juice
Instructions
Add yogurt, fresh lemon juice and salt to a mixing bowl. Mix until it becomes a sauce.
Heat up skillet. When skillet is hot add the ghee. When ghee is hot add the seeds. When seeds begin to pop add the onions, garlic, fresh ginger and jalapeno pepper. Sauté until golden brown. Add the spices and sugar. Stir for 1 minute. Add the 2 fish fillets. Sauté for a few minutes. Turnover and sauté for another few minutes. Add the yogurt mixture and turn down heat and simmer for a few minutes.
Comments
The Bangladeshi really know how to cook their fish in a different and unique manner. I love this dish. It’s very high in protein.
