Ingredients
Roux
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons flour
Tofu filling
- 2 cups scalded milk
- dash of salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 8 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 teaspoon sage
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 block mashed tofu
Instructions
Pre heat oven to 375
Make roux. Melt butter in pan. Add flour stir over low heat for a few minutes. Add scalded milk slowly to roux.
Add salt, pepper, nutritional yeast, onions, and sage.

Mash tofu and add to above mixture. Add seasoned bread crumbs. Put in buttered casserole pan.
Bake at 375 with pan of water in lower rack of oven for 20 minutes.

I first made this in the early eighties while living in Miami Beach. it makes a decent dressing.
