Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 1/16 teaspoon saffron
- 2 cups water
- 2 medium eggs
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 3 medium chopped scallions
- 1/8 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/3 teaspoon gomasio
- 1/4 teaspoon tamari
- 1 tablespoon pickled ginger
- 1/3 tablespoon sambal oelek(chili paste)
Instructions
In sauce pan add water. Turn on burner to high. When water boils add rice and saffron. When water boils again turn down heat to medium and cook for around 20 minutes or cook until done.
Add peanut oil to skillet. Pour egg mixture in skillet. Cook until eggs are cooked. Chop up eggs into strips.
Chop up scallions.
Put rice on serving plate. Arrange your egg strips over the rice.
Add your scallions, sesame oil, sesame seeds and tamari.
Garnish with pickled ginger and chili paste.

This is my version of fried rice. I use basmati rice and saffron. It gives a good flavor to this dish.
