Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup diced okra 
  • 1/2 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 whole papadum(Indian potato chips)
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 dash salt

Instructions

Heat up oil in skillet. When skillet is hot add cumin seeds. When they start toasting add the okra. Cook for around 3 minutes and then add your spices. Cook until okra is done. Add the crushed poppadums’ and 1/4 cup water. Sauté for a few minutes. Add salt to taste.

I made this up when I had some okra and poppadum. Poppadum are India version of potato chips. They are made out of chickpea flour and high in protein.
